AGL organised a Market Day in conjunction with Australia Day and raised $580!
The Comic’s Lounge… revisited
We had another night of comedy on December 10th albeit a more “low key” gathering than the October affair. However, we still raised $650 toward the building program and once again enjoyed a good nights entertainment courtesy of The Comic’s Lounge.
The Comic’s Lounge
October 15th was the main focus of the month for us as we gathered at The Comic’s Lounge in North Melbourne for a night of laughs with some of Australia’s funniest comics. The night was a huge success with $3475 being raised toward our building project in Kenya.

The Comic’s Lounge
The Comic’s Lounge in North Melbourne support Australian charities and community groups through the donation of tickets to their weekly shows. Join us on Thursday, 15th October 2009, and come and have a laugh in the name of charity. Find out more details about the night here.
Individual Donations
During August we received our first overseas donations, including a very generous donation from Heather Cornes in the UK. On behalf of the children of Bamburi, asante sana Heather.
Chocolate Chompers
In the work places that support ACTION THIS DAY work colleagues have taken to snacking on chocolate for charity. This is definitely classified as “guilt free” eating and is a great way to raise funds in your own workplace.
